Very naughty tonight.

So there I was changing my route to return via Cannon Street instead of up to Tower Gateway as I don't particularly like the two lanes with very little space in the rush hour and it was a decision I almost regretted.

Bloody peds everywhere so it was the old finger on the horn button yet again and 99% of peds knew I was approaching,apart from one that is who thought he would disregard me anyway.

So that ended in a near hit,some instinctive cycling by me,a back wheel skid and I got away with it.I didn't see the ped till very late but he must have heard/seen me with my lights/hi viz/finger on horn button,my starter for ten Bamber and unless he was blind and deaf of which I suspect he was neither he copped a deafun.

So I swore at him called him an f-in twat and made on my merry way.I think he was sorry but really I don't believe it was his fault even though he did insist on crossing whatever it seemed were the consequences.

I do think I was in the wrong and feel a bit bad about it now.

It wasn't a mistake as I should have known better.It's the old in a hurry must get home just like his must cross the road thingy.

I know one thing and that is I think I will avoid areas like Cannon Street as it's like one of those video games with peds/lemmings.DO they try their hardest to get run over or what?

They seem to come out from everywhere.

Normally I'm not into honking or tinkling the bell at people, but I've still got the limp and tubigrip from when a ped changed tack and stepped in front of me two weeks ago. So fingers on buzzers now..



On reflection I blame myself for cycling in secondary, if I'd been further out I could have avoided him.

Blimey I was well out I wasn't in secondary because there were peds everywhere,perhaps I should make a confession that there was a traffic island there as well.

Luckily for me BM is not here to tell me off.

There was no need for that tonight but peds really are frustrating,sometimes.

Gawd that makes me as bad as an impatient car driver.

I was in London on Monday and saw plenty of peds walk straight out in front of bicycles, it beggars belief at times.
