A true story.
Ten years or so ago my kid brother complained about the £80k tax bill that landed on his door mat:
A conversation between us went like this:
Me: Eighty thousand! Jeez! It would take me three to four years to earn eighty thousand!
Brother: Eighty thousand? Pah! I wish it was two hundred and eighty thousand.
Me: Why?!!!
Brother: Because it would mean I'm earning serious money......
