It may also mean that you are stretching a bit too much for the bars. I've had that problem in the past. Do you get shoulder ache as well? Perhaps move the saddle forward a tad.
If the saddle is already too far forward, moving the saddle further forward will put even more weight on the hands. Still worth experimenting, though.

I had the same and gloves helped a little, but not completely. What solved it for me was really relaxing my grip and making sure I changed my hand position, very slightly, every minute or so to stop constant pressure on the same point.
