Does anyone have any thoughts on getting to Victoria from SE London. The most logical route is down Camberwell New Rd, past the Oval and over Vauxhall Bridge. But that would entail the road junction by Vauxhall station, which I avoid even when in the car (I always end up in the wrong lane, going to somewhere I don't want to go). Nor do I want to go anywhere near the Elephant and the OKR (and anyway, that's straying a bit far North).

I'll be on my Brommie, which normally leaves me a bit less confident than I am on my main bike, but much happier to take to shared use paths and so on.

I thought of maybe hacking my way through the back streets via Stockwell & over Chelsea Bridge.

Thanks to you both
@topcat1 your Vauxhall-avoiding route worked a treat. I'd studied it in detail on google streetview and it went fine.
@deptfordmarmoset I'm afraid I hadn't studied your route and memorised it properly, with the result that I got completely lost between Lambeth Bridge and Victoria! I'll try harder next time.

Easy way to Victoria from Lambeth bridge, turn left off the bridge at the roundabout go down to the Tate gallery and turn right onto Attenbury st, then left onto John Islip st go down to the lights and turn right onto Vauxhall bridge rd then it's straight down to Victoria station.
