Thanks for the heads up. There's so little cycling coverage on the BBC that I wouldn't have bothered looking for it.
Britain always seems to need to have a 'golden girl'. The ones I remember are/were Ann Packer, Sue Barker, Sally Gunnell, Jessica Ennis, there's loads that evade my memory banks.
Beth Tweddle, Rebecca Adlington, Sharon Davies, Jayne Torvill, Liz McHusbandbasher, Tanni Grey-Thompson to name but a few.
Isn't it against the rules to refer to Ms Pendleton as 'golden', or do her collar and cuffs not match?
