Hi all,

Just got a couple of little Keychain Spycameras from eBay. Have used them to take footage facing front and rear on my Aprilia RSV. Will also use them on my weekly commute to see how they are there.

Now, the footage the 11 minute vid clip on my RSV was @930mb in size. What are you lot who regularly upload clips to Youtube etc using to compress the file size down to?.

I tried using Windows Movie Maker, but I heard the results are not that good when compressing vids with it?.

Just wondering how everyone else was doing it?.

Ta.

Stick it in movie maker and export it on the default options. I think it's okay...just do it and see for yourself.

it will probably take a while with your files, so just leave it running in the background

Quick clip of me on my Aprilia RSV Mille. Really rubbish footage as I had the camera mounted upside down and facing too far down from where it was sat on the chin bar on my helmet. So all you get is footage of me getting my gloves on etc at the start and then footage of the dash and bars of the bike. Lesson learned - be careful where you position the camera next time!!!.

Now that's why I like my VIO - it records a loop, and you can keep a loop when something interesting happens, otherwise it's lost. A 5min loop is 116MB.

Also, aside from converting these vids and uploading them to Youtube, if you require to host them for others to view where are you lot putting them?. Free hosting like Photobucket as I am using or something else?.

I've tried up loading to Flickr but finds it chops things off and you can only do it free twice a month; so far I've found youtube to be the most flexible.
