How far back do your records go  I used to file mine by date but now I just delete them if nothing significant happened.

3 months i think. going through them at the moment. cropping out the parts i went to keep (just the really bad driving) and storing them by numberplate with a text file with more information like date and time etc...

I used Honestech 7 last night for that 20 second clip which I got down to 9mb.

Still mean to post it on utube.

As you can get 2TB drives now 535gb shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I presume you guys are clipping off the unwanted bits of video using VirtualDub? It can do almost lossless editing.

No Honestech 7......New to this video milarky again.First clip was just cut to twenty seconds and nothing else.It would have made a good what happened next clip.

I'ver just started clipping out the bits that I want to keep, filename is in the format of date (yymmdd), whether it was in/return commute and very brief description

i.e. 100215_return__TaxiPullOutAndBeep

I then import this into MovieMaker, make my vid and upload to YouTube. The rest of the commute gets binned when I'm sure the vid has made it intact.
