What are you trying to do? Any media player should be able to play the .vob files directly

A couple of years back my new turbo trainer came with a training dvd. I made a backup copy and it is of the TS format. This is fine and works well on computer dvd drive & standard dvd player.

But ..... Tonight, for the first time ever, I've found out that I can plug a usb flash drive into my TV and watch it on a big screen instead of a 15" laptop. There doesn't seem to be a single TS file in the folder that will run /execute the whole programme and there's no sound. Mpeg & DivX files work fine via the flash drive though.

Yes, download handbreak. It'll allow you to transcode into mp4 or mkv formats in almost any quality. It's free too.
Handbrake is my favourite on the Mac. If you have a quad core processor 64bit it isn't slow at all. If you have a Mac I can give you a list of the best apps.
