This came into Enviroability, complete with a knackered pair of tubular wheels with a 14-18 freewheel and a single ring 52 tooth Campagnolo chainset. The frame is not in great condition and was not the top end Viner, but is still 531 and would build up into something nice, assuming the corrosion isn't terminal. What's the forum opinion on it? Is it a scrapper or is it worth restoring?

You will never get rich restoring and selling it I am afraid.

But it will be a nice ride that's for sure

It's a shame about the paint job but to my admittedly amateur eye the rust doesn't look too bad, as @DCLane notes I'd be concerned about holes in the frame. I don't think you can do much with that paint but I'd be tempted to get the frame sandblasted to see what you're dealing with - get a good photo of all the decals in advance and H LLoyd will likely be able to prepare a replacement set. If the frame is in good condition then I'd paint and apply new decals, lovely looking bike and you could have a very nice good weather bike even though the financial cost isn't worth it.

That being said I spend north of £300 getting a bashed up old Pug refinished when I got into cycling a decade ago and am thinking of sinking another few hundred in to repair some frame damage and repaint it again. Keeping something going has value in and of itself.
