This appeared at Enviroability the other day. It's a Kastle, which is not a brand I'm familiar with but a Google search reveals that they're an Austrian manufacturer better known for making skis. It's a Kastle 6.5 Degree. It's obviously half way decent - Shimano LX, Tange Dan Falvey (whoever he is 😂) tubing, branded finishing kit - and I'd be interested to know a bit more about it. Anyone know anything? For the record, I love these early MTBs: to my mind, they're the most practical and versatile machines out there.

Austrian brand IIRC, or at least headquartered there in the past. Various sporting gear such as skis, MTBs, that sort of shizzle. The bikes are rare outside of mainland Europe and im not sure they carried on with them into this century, but could be wrong on that.

That looks alright you know, first one ive seen in 30 years. Decent mid range componentry, cro mo frame, a bike of solid middling quality in its day. Middish 90s at a rough guess, but you can get a date code off a mech or crank. If thet were a touch bigger id make an offer.

Yeah, it's too small for me but I was tempted (and in fact I might try and persuade my wife that she wants it).
