I have two Raleigh Mixtie frames with Suntor rear drop outs which have very small threaded adjusters in them. Each adjuster is spring loaded and has a knurled knob on the outside which moves the adjuster back and forward. The other end is set up to be turned with either a flat blade or cross head screwdriver.
I am stripping one of the frames for parts to use on the other and would like to know how these adjusters can be removed, if at all. If they cannot be removed where can I get repacements or could I do without them enitirely? They cannot have any effect on chain tension sso I assume they are to set the wheel square between the stays.
I will also put this on the technical thread as this query may be more appropriate there.

If you're not running single speed or fixed (where wheel position in the dropouts is critical for chain tension) you can do without them and just put the wheel right at the back of the dropouts. All they are for is to ensure you set the wheel in the dropouts straight, but you can do the same thing just by putting the wheel all the way back.

On my Dawes the "head" of these adjusters unscrews from the main threaded section so you can screw it straight through the frame to get it out.
