Just got home from one of my best commutes for a long long time. Riding along pristine virgin snow for the majority of the ride home, the snow started coming down pretty heavy for the last 2 miles but I really enjoyed it. Hope tomorrow is the same

We've just arrived back in London having traveled down from Middlesorough this afternoon, South London is a Winter Wonderland!!

I've got to go out first thing and need to take a bike, it'll be the MTB hack but I have slicks, would I benefit by changing over to knobblys for the morning?

Thanks for that Mickle! Now I need to rummage thru the cupboard and see what knobblys I do have!

*back from cupboard*

Slicks it is then.

*makes mental note to not give all spare tyres away to friends who never maintain their bikes. grrr*

The ironic thing is tomorrow is the first day of the cycle club I have started at Miss tdr1nka's Primary School.....;)

had an iccle bit in coventry making a shared foot bridge / cycle lane a bit amusing (not as amusing as when i spun 180 on ice) thankfully its not on the ground since millie has to drive to work at 7am tomorrow,
but apparently it has snowed and stuck where she works...

probably will based on safety, that and they'll have you for more of the working day than if your fighting your way in etc

i've just got back from brushing the snow of millie's car, got a bit here in coventry, but not enough to stop me thinking about biking

think at 4-5 inch i'd switch to my mountain bike tho

Phone my boss in 15 mins and see if she also agrees it's a good idea to work from home today.

Someone's just phoned Mr Summerdays to say that is it OK that he works from home (aparently he weekly commutes from London). There isn't any snow worth mentioning here ... just a few frozen flakes stuck to the pavement!

Couple of inches of the white stuff here. The Studded Nokians did their job this morning but it took me twice as long as usual! A cloud of steam rising off me as I rode along, mental note don't need that extra fleece layer. On the plus side my new Fenix is superb.

About 5/6 inches of snow in Streatham. A roads were doable on my commute (mostly heavy mush in the left tyre track) but still a bit slippy and not much fun. Traffic speeds about 10 mph. Might think about the tube home if it starts to ice over later...
