Virgin Trains seat sale

Wasn't sure where to post this but Café gets most views

I needed to go to London from Stockport early August. Went on the Virgin website and was amazed to see that I could travel for £20 return on their seat sale. Normally the cheapest is about £70

Lots of good train times too. Such a good deal Mrs N and N junior are going to accompany me for the day. All in for the three of us - £50

Sale expires in a few days

Their east coast service can be really cheap if you book early enough. Can usually get return travel Newcastle to London for around £50....

Glasgow/London return can be had in August for £30, saving over £100 on the normal fare. There is an obvious catch in that particular deal, but I am sure it could be used as part of the route to a more suitable destination .

A mate recently booked three of us plus bikes from Newcastle to Berwick on Virgin for, I think, £10.50, might even have been a bit less.

Thanks @nickyboy, 4 adults Manchester to London& return £80 all in. Accommodation booked for a couple of days doing the sights with the kids. Only 2 weeks to payday to live on fresh air and love
