The only new idea on that website is the phrase 'virtual Gastric Band. Hypnosis has been used to treat all sorts of conditions for centuries and is generally very safe indeed - even available on the NHS.

IIRC hypnosis is most effective in treating phobias, sleep disorders etc and nothing like as useful with obesity.
