Hardly ever. However I suspect those days are coming to an end, and it will get more common as the little one grows up and interacts more with other kids...

FM, you may be being a little pessimistic. I'm completely "shooting from the hip" here
, but we never caught anything too bad off our kid when she was younger.

Worms you just deal with, and if you are lucky, you may just manage to dodge the head lice.

Hey! It's all part of the wonderful mystery of being a parent.

Good luck.

I tend to feel a little but under the weather now and again but don't get a full-on cold anymore.

On reflection, it may just be a hangover though.

Never sick (vomit) because I hate it.

Sometimes have an upset stomach - nothing to stop me working riding though.

I have 2-3 colds a year max, and 1-2 times a year I have a thing where I feel cold and shivery, my eyes hurt if I look to the extremes, but I usually just go to bed with a hot water bottle, well wrapped up and get rid of it in a day.

Was laid up for 4 days in early Sept... it was warm outside etc, so it wasn't just 'man flu', as I'd much rather have been outside. I rarely get colds, and can't remember the last time I spent time in bed feeling iffy.

Never had one since I switched to Mac OSX and Linux.

I was expecting that to be the top answer.
For balance I don't get them on Windows or Linux. Not paid enough for a mac.

2 colds a year in Spring and Autumn.

Otherwise, flu once every five years but hopefully I avoid that with flu jabs now.

Last year I was ill a lot and had a lot of weeks off work over the year. The children were bringing a lot back from nursery. I'm not normally affected when they are ill but I was pretty run down, wasn't getting much exercise, I'd put on weight, had major a lack of sleep and was suffering from stress. This year I was off for a couple of days with hand, foot and mouth disease (?) but other than that have been fine and in many cases am the only one in our house who doesn't get ill. Before I had kids I'd never had a single day off work through illness and had two days off in the first three years of parenthood. It's definitely swinging back the other way now. I'm starting to get regular sleep and all the kids now sleep through which is certainly nice after eight years of being woken up in the night. I excercise regularly again and am eating well. Touch wood I'm fighting fit again :boxing:

I have not had flu for about 5 years at least. Colds not for two years. When I do get one it usually hits me as a sore throat but I tend to just carry on as normal.

Last saw the doctor about 5 years ago, since then doctor has changed and surgery moved so I do not even know who i see or where they are.

Apparently it reasonable to say you give yourself colds, as the virus doesn't travel in aerosol droplets, unlike true influenza, so is nearly always transferred from a surface to your face via your own hands. And 2-6 colds is normal.
When some one in the office has a cold I always go mad with the alcohol gel and baby wipes, and try hard not to pick my nose or rub my eyes (I have stopped sucking my thumb now). I also try to keep hold of the cordless phone so the unclean have to use the desk handset.
In return I also do the same when I have a cold.
I think I get 2 or 3 a year. I try to avoid decongestants, unless I can't sleep or breath, and then prefer a spray to a systemic one.
This year I got one just in time for my birthday. BOOO.
