Anyone have an opinion about the Vittoria Zaffiro as a general all-round tyre?
Thinking of changing my wife's tyres - mainly only used at the weekend for around 30-40km rides, and these seem a reasonably priced option.
Any advice appreciated.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
Poo. Rubinos are a better tyre.

Rubino's are £9.99 each on Wiggle at the moment. Anyone seen them cheaper anywhere?
They had Zaffiro's for £5.99 the other week, which is what prompted me to think of them. Think I've missed out on them by now though....

Has anyone used the slick zaffiro pro or rubino pro. Looking for some 23mm for my fulcrum 5 so I can swap the wheels between two bikes

The zaffiro are a tenner from crc, the rubino £27.50 for a pair from merlin

I run my hybrid on Fulcrum R5s with 23mm Rubino Pros... it's a fine combo. The wheels are stiff and efficient without being electrifying, but on smooth shallow descents they are speedy and confident but comfy. The Rubinos are very supple as they really comb the surface of the roads. They are light, quick and grippy as well though.

I don't understand your answer, do you have the slicks or 'normal'? I know what the 'rough' ones look like and want smooth

What about Schwalbe Lugano's 700x23c? Anyone used those before?

Had some that came with my Cannondale CAAD8. They're alright in the dry, not the quickest tyre but I didn't like them at all in the wet, not much grip at all.
Do yourself a favour and spend a bit of cash. Tyres are the only thing that keep you upright on the road, I don't think it's a coincidence that the best tyre I've used so far (conti 4 seasons) is the also the most expensive.
