Good morning members, Can anyone tell me if there has been any discussions, thoughts etc on the Vivax Assist system, thanks,,,, Dave.,,

A few, but more about whether it is cheating, rather than any assessment or review.

I remember part of the discussion being whether the low battery performance was an issue, and the legality as the bike would be restricted to 165 mph for use on UK roads which defeats the point for a racing bike.

You can use the search, but also search "Gruber" assist as well as it is sold under both names

Most ebike kits add 8kg or more to the bike, ruining it as a pure cycling experience.

The Vivax kit is much lighter and appears to be aimed at reasonably fit cyclists who want occasional light assistance on their road bike.

It's designed to be very stealthy, including a wireless activation button which can be buried under bar tape.

As Cuno says, that leads to accusations of cheating, rather than sensible discussions as to the system's merit.

I have seen a couple of reports from users who say it does what it's supposed to do.
