Vodka advice sought

Abolut raspberry vodka is pretty nice.

A friend once told me that his brother in law drove tankers for a living and use to deliver to one of the british brands mention earlier. He said it was made by mixing one tanker of distilled water and one of absolute alcohol. Don't know if it's true but it would explain a lot.

Just reread that, what I mean't was don't touch anything distilled in the UK.

If it is for drinking neat, then Smirnoff Black label, Stolichnaya Gold or Absolut Red - obviously straight out of the freezer. Unfortunately not the easiest bottles to find.

But this is my favourite, but it is definitely a (subtly) flavoured vodka and not 'proper' pure;

Zubrowka a Polish vodka favoured with bison grass. Delicious out of the freezer, or mixed with cloudy apple juice.

But if it's for mixing, then any old crap will do

Stoli Elite or Grey Goose but i'll drink any Vodka to be honest!
Zubrowka with cloudy apple juice and crushed ice
Sitting here with a Mount Gay White Rum as i type for a wee change.

Certainly grey goose and stoli gold are delicious from the freezer, and I'm partial to a bit of 42 below too.

A shot of raspberry vodka, with a lime segment pre-dipped in muscovado sugar to follow... Heaven. I'm not responsible for what happens thereafter...

vodka neat no ice is one of my drinks of choice - try stolichyna, there's also Bison grass vodka- forgotten the name it can be a tad aniseedy but lovely and smooth.

It's a good spirit (I'm not a fan of whisky though)

edit- the bison one is zubrowska!!

+1 for the Finlandia and Absolute vodkas, but on the rare occasion I drink vodka, I prefer it neat and straight from the freezer.

I have an apple vodka lying around somewhere. It's undrinkable. I was so traumatised that I can't remember who makes it.
