Volvo cyclist detection system

Saw this on the BBC news website, it's an £1850 option. Do fines for killing cyclists get that high? Might be cheaper not to bother!! At least they are trying I suppose.

I'm going to invent T.E.D.S (Twunt Early Detection System).

A system that deploys an external euthanasia system to put car drivers who randomly pull across the cycle lane out of their misery.

I think this is hilarious. The system would detect a cyclist suddenly swerving into the path of the car, if it were the other way around that really would be worthwhile!

I can see it in court - I'm sorry I was doing 140 through the village your Honour, I know I killed 4 peds and 3 cyclists but my Volvo has a cyclist detection system. It brakes for me when it detects them so therefore it is guilty of murder, not me!

Good idea but you can save £1850 by LOOKING.
