Considering buying one of these, basically the same spec but one has an air fork and the other a hydraulic fork,is there much difference in performance/maintenance?
A friend of mine has a Voodoo. For what he paid I was impressed with what it had on it. He is really happy with it and he says it handles the Forrest tracks and cycle park really well.
The Voodoo brand has (or had) legendary bike designer 'Joe Murray' on board (the man who started the Kona brand), whilst Carrera is Halfords own brand - that would do it for me already!!!
IMPORTANT. For those reading this thread, the review for the Carrera Kraken listed above is for the 2007 model. I dont think smokeysmoo realised it.
The review for the 2012 model was done on 17 January 2013 and is an entirely difference verdict ... and I quote ... " We haven’t tested a better trail bike for under £500" Bikeradar 27 January 2013
