'Voyager 2 is programmed to reset its orientation multiple times each year to keep its antenna pointing at Earth. The next reset is due on 15 October, which Nasa says "should enable communication to resume"'

Whomever specified that in the original spec deserves a pay rise, though given it launched over 50 years ago they've probably retired!

Apparently they are now receiving signals from it, but won't know for 36 hours- the there and back time - if the spacecraft is sufficiently aligned to receive commands from Earth.

Yes I had chuckle when I read about that. Always check what you've type before you press send!!

Pretty amazing that 46 years space tech is still working though.
