So the last big stage race of the season starts today with a fairly flat first stage. I think Pettachi will be in the firing line in a sprint finish.

I agree with Keith - Pettachi will still be smarting from missing the TdF and have a point to prove.

I feel the tdf is a fair degree of hype..and the giro'di'talia and vuelta are better as there aint the BIG TIME hype and so its generally not as media driven just hardcore cycling...my fave though the giro'..
