But when something disastrous happens in this industry an "expert" will be quizzed by the BBC, and of course none of us have ever heard of the expert, not one.

Recent BBC experts have informed us that the origin of the word 'picnic' was 'to pick a n*gg*r for lynching' and that 'nitty gritty' originally referred to the detritus left in the bottom of slave ships. Both claims were completely baseless but were given credibility by being broadcast on a national TV network.

An expert is anyone who is called in from more than 50 miles away to complete a task that is just a little more complex than ordinary run of the mill tasks in the industry.:smile:
