Anyone catch this last night? It's the follow up to the excellent pre-Olympics numptie-fest that was Twenty Twelve. Cracking start to the series I thought...the only problem I had was laughing thru' (and hence missing) half of the jokes. "It's genocide in the press room. And not in a good way."

I was going to watch it, but then I discovered (thanks to Cycle Chat) that the BBC is a terrible place stacked full of right-wingers.

Best avoided I thought.

(I forgot it was on, I'll watch it on iPlayer.)

Saw most of this and it is great, very cleverly written, and I like the fact that the BBC are able to poke fun at themselves in this way.

Sadly there are probably people like this in large organisations, paid lots of money to spout management speak and achieve nothing...

That sounds very much like a recycled gag from The Thick of It

As a big In The Thick Of It fan, I don't recognise it, but I'm not saying it's impossible. Unlikely tho' - I think the writers of W1A are quite good enough to come up with their own gags.

From The Thick of It:

"This is like watching a lion rape a sheep. But in a bad way."

Could be just coincidence!

I liked the short scene with Yentob and Rushdie (I think) arm-wrestling
