Wahey! It's my "Break Even" day!

Today I passed that point where money saved on train fares now exceeds the money I've spent on maintenance, spares and accessories for the year to date. Now every commute is putting money into the kitty so I can save up for something else.

Anyone care to suggest something nice to save for?

Another bike.

Why nit compare, its interesting, I have save 15 quid in petrol this week, a little bit on wear and tear but spent £65 on new SPD shoes and some fingerless gloves.

Too obvious (although a fixie would be good....).

There must be something better. I've got a Ridgeback MX 4 and a Trek 1.2. Should I think of upgrades? Save for a new shed to keep them in? Get a stand and some bespoke tools to save more money by doing more of my own servicing? Any recommended accessories to make me cut a dash as I make my way to work?

PS - Chis KH, by profession I'm an engineer, it's probably genetics (although I do have real-live friends, I'm not a total saddo)

I don't really do it to save money, more for the convenience and ease.Example.Reckon for work tomorrow it would be a night bus job if I didn't have the bike.

I can see the point with the train fares though.
