Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v2 slow charging? Cause and solution!

I got my new cable but can't check it on the Bolt yet because that is already 100% charged.

I just tested it on my tablet to make sure that the cable is okay. It is. Charging time on the new cable is estimated to be 7 minutes longer than from the USB-C charger but that will be because the charger has a higher current rating than the USB-A socket.

I will leave the Bolt switched on to use up some charge then check it in the wee hours. (Damn ageing prostate!! )

I just found this thread again while searching for info on Bolt navigation problems.

Since starting to use my new charging cable the process has been so quick that it has become a total non-issue! Pretty much every time that I check the Bolt it is fully charged even after less than an hour of charging.

My phone is the opposite. USBA to USBC = slow charge, C to C = fast charge

That makes more sense to me!

It really caught me out having to use a hybrid solution to get rapid charging.
