Still can't believe it.. My wahoo housed iPhone came out of its clamp (due to me putting too much padding on the stem to stop vibration), hit the ground, was run over by a van and there isn't a mark on either the case or the phone!

Miracles do happen, but only once, so next time it'll be a mangled heap of PCBs, plastic and LCD display

Yeah, my 14 month old is addicted to iPhones, remote controls, and keys.

I keep my iBone in an otterbox defender. It rules out easily handlebar mounting it, but makes it pretty much impregnable when shoved in panniers, pockets, bum bags etc while on the bike.

My HTC Desire was dropped this weekend - dead screen. I won't go into why it was on a caravan roof for better reception  New screen ordered, just hope I can put it back together.

You could get a Quadlock mount and one of their adhesive adapters to stick on the Otterbox. The mount and case itself is very solid but the case is not waterproof, I am thinking about getting a Wahoo case and sticking a Quadlock adapter to it instead of using Wahoo's own mount.

The wahoo mount is quite ropey.
