Bought some new Shimano winter road boots to keep my feet warm on the commute. What I hadn't accounted for was how tricky they would be to walk in. Unlike my other shoes (Tahoe) the cleat aren't recessed into the show at all.
There's a marble lobby floor at my work, if it didn't have a carpet section I'd never make it from one side to the other.

Any ideas? or will I have to change into flip flops in the bike shed!

PS. They don't keep my feet any warmer than the Tahoes

What kind of cleats do you have? If they are SPD-SL or look cleats then just walk normally. Heel, toe, heel, toe. like this..

If they are SPD, then you are in big trouble!

I had a commute which demanded walking a fair distance; in the traing station and then from the bike shed to the office. I gave up on external cleats and moved to SPDs for my commute bike. It was just so much easier - and safer!
