Wall and Ground Anchors phenomenon

Is it really that bad? Are we talking about opportunists or organised crime with a small industry involved in the sale and movement of stolen bikes. Even read posts of garage doors rammed.

The economics of this sort of crime hardly stacks up. Motorcycles yes.

what phenomenon?

As long as I breathe, I attack.
And once you are tooled up which can be done relatively cheaply you can on an earner , and i have heard of bikes been shipped abroad so its harder to trace via the likes of fleabay etc .
MY bikes are secured with ground anchors into conrete floors , the bolts cant be undone and i use motor bike chains + locks

Ditto, I lost all four of the family mtbs from the garage a few years ago. Plus the garage main door is blocked and unopenable and the side door is 5 lever locked and reinforced (ply panel and gap filled with builders foam) plus frame bolts.

Several times since i have seen evidence of attempts to break in,,,

Wall bolts here too. The roadies are up on bike racks indoors - not in a shed or a garage. Bolted windows & curtains too. All guarded by a rather noisy and snappy Jack Russell. The MTBs are locked to concreted in floor anchors, not in the bedroom though. We don't like them quite so much.

Shipped aboard is something that I did not consider. I did not realise it could be that bad.
