I hate to do this, because I know I'm being played like a fish on a hook, but if you use regular AA batteries, ebuyer.com are selling 16-packs of Duracells for £4.49, including delivery. It's a loss-leader of course, designed to get you on their mailing list - and you aware of them - but you can't argue with the price...and with winter/Christmas coming up... (Make sure you select the free delivery option - as per, it will default to £27 for delivery tomorrow if you don't spot it.)
