Wanted: 2 front mudguard stays

Rutland Cycling have sent me a set of Airlite mudguards with 2 sets of rear stays

They've said they sent a replacement set on the 3rd of October but no sign anywhere at my house, nor at the Post Office

So, does anyone have two spare front mudguard stays they'd like to sell me? Happy to pay postage plus a bit towards the cost.

I can sort you out for some - but do get back in touch with Rutland first, I have always found them to be very quick to put things right if you contact them, and they are responsible for sorting this.

Thanks - I've been back in touch with Rutland and hopefully they'll sort it one way or another.

OK - Rutland have sent another Raleigh Airlite mudguard set. Guess what ... yes, this set also has wrong stays as well.

And they're definately all REAR stays according to the diagram. It'd have been better if they'd been front stays this time!

If so I can send you one so you can use the double rear stays or alternatively send you a couple of single stays...or both so you can choose what's best. If you PM me along with your address I will sort. Don't worry about payment - throw a few pennies in a charity box for me.

Ok David,

2 single stays it will be. If they are for the fitting as in my photo above, they may be slightly too narrow - but a little tape or glue will hold them nicely. Will post them tomorrow for you.
