Here for rides.
stout piece of wood, a bolt and nut and your own 1/8th chain and you've made one

Do you reckon?
If i got abit of metal(or is wood better) and did it that way, would that still be ok? Drill through it, then put the rivet on the chain back through, and do it like that?

...or get some chain (about a foot should do it) wrap it around the cassette then get a screwdriver and put it through one of the holes in the chain and then lever it against the cassette.

Im wanting it for fixed though Lee, hence wanting to fit 1/8 chain to it.
I dont know if shoving a screw driver through the chain would be enough to get that off, or will it?

 I doubt it

I didnt think it would be. The other day i was trying to get the sprocket off, and didnt have a chain whip. I used the old 1/8 chain and just couldnt get enough leverage on it, or force to get it off. So took it up to the LBS.
Oh how i love having more then one bike:thumbsup:
