The type with the long support legs that secure at the wheel hubs/fork ends. I have an old roadster with a wicker basket that is slowly sagging... Doesnt matter how old or rusty or knackered.
Thanks
Bob

BTW The old 26" wheel machines, not to be confused with "actual "20" wheel Raleigh shopper

Make one bobg, they're only a bit of bent steel with a couple of holes drilled for the front wheel axle and a couple more little ones for a plate which sandwiches the basket.

You're quite right Mickle, I'm not sure why that didn't cross my mind.... I'll stop the next old lady I see and ask if I can take a few photo's.... Is the bottom of the basket actually "sandwiched" by two bits of plate? I presume then that whole thing is free standing then or it'd bugger up the steering?

I think the TK Maxx up here has closed down up here. I followed Mickle's suggestion and bent a 5ft length of 3/4 bar to shape , drilled a few holes for the axle and the "sandwich bar" ..job done. Mind you they're only £6 in my LBS...
