As if there weren't enough dangers in the area, an extra warning for those who use the Eastway (A106) along the north edge of the olympic site between Hackney Wick and Ruckholt Road. As I'm sure you know, the road layout get shifted around with the ebb-and-flow of construction work. At the moment they're doing something to the road near the main entrance to the site (which used to be Waterden Road). One lane of the Eastway is closed at this point and the other lane has been made two-way with a temporary island. Be very wary here - oncoming drivers joining this stretch are getting confused by the signage and are using both lanes, and there's not much option for getting out of the way.
