Yesterday I was cycling from Oxford to Cumnor. I had just puffed up the hill and was on the flat. It's not a very wide road there and a bus had caught up, and I was feeling under pressure because it wanted to pass. Then I saw a young mother and a little girl riding a small wheeled tandem, so I sped past them so that the bus would be held up by them and not me, putting them under pressure. They didn't hold the bus up for very long, because it passed me after a few more seconds. However, I can't help feeling this was rather caddish of me. Not that it kept me awake or anything.

A little bit.

I moved to Oxford from Manchester a month ago and I still can't quite get used to the vast improvement in the driving standards. What I now call "bad overtake" would be absolutely great driving back in Mcr.

Oxford has lots of cyclists right? (I am originally from Cambridge) so do you think that many cyclists make more drivers aware of them and therefore drive safer around them usually? The strength in numbers argument... Now I am in Nottingham I just toughened up and got more defensive accordingly.

Thought you had been quiet. You've lost the hills though !

Adding juveniles, children and infants to the Scalping tally is a little desperate

What next, babies in prams?

Hey, every baby in a pram has the potential to be your conqueror when they're older. May as well get a head-start on racking up the points whilst you're more able to
