I wear hi viz (reflective striping) at night, during the day I think the same as you, drivers see you clearly so don't give as much room.
Yes I've noticed this too.

If he carries on doing it and everyone tells him it should sink home eventually. He may, legitimately have though it was a safe overtake and just letting him know a bit more space is needed is a good thing.

It is about how it is done. If I make a mistake I'll happily hold my hands up and apologise. However, if I made a mistake and the driver (or whoever) starts blaring their horn and mouthing off my attitude would be different, I'd probably tell them to something something and ignore them. No benefit to anyone.

Had a chap yesterday who looked like he was going to pull out (I was doing about 30 in a 30) and I didn't want to have to slow down. I gave a few light parps of the airzound so that he didn't pull out into me. He obviously realised it was me and he gave a few taps back. When we got to the next set of lights I was going to explain that sometimes people misjudge my speed and pull out - not that you were probably going to, just making sure you know I am there sets my mind at ease. I didn't in the end, but being civil like that would probably have been fine and just helped him understand.
