Travelling back to edinburgh Bicycle Coop earlier today on my new Revolution Country Traveller 
(took me a while to realise how to use the gears!
) to return a faulty light, I was stopped at the lights still in Salford I think (somewhere near that Christian fellowship centre). The lady in the red car next to me asked me if I was turning or going straight ahead. I was going straight ahead, so she said "I'll let you go first". I thanked her, and when the lights changed, off I went.
Near Manchester Aquatics Centre, however, there were some pretty poor drivers, turning out of side streets without giving way to traffic that had right of way - surprised there were no accidents!.
