The very worst jobs I ever did were the boring repetitive ones where you had to concentrate on what you were doing. Sorting punch data cards for the National Travel Survey in a tiny room lit only by flourescent tubes was my introduction to casual labour and it almost killed me, not to mention the thumping headache for the first few days.

Spent another night at a & e and no sign of going home soon.

And the nurse that has looked like he has done nothing all night has just made a very good cuppa for me.
