So after going to watch the pro race this year, I have signed up to do the 130km We are Flanders ride next year. My road bike is rim brake and I can fit max 28mm tyres, and have a 32 tooth rear cassette with compact front crank. Can anyone recommend tyres best suited to cobbles or am I over thinking it!? I was going to go for Michelin Lithion 4 in 28mm. Also if anyone has done this ride before, and tips would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

I've been rim braked every time I've did it and when I did 255km one I did it on 23mm tyres (every other time has been 25mm). My first few were on Mitchelin Pro 4 Endurance and the latter times have been GP4000s and 5000s but I wouldn't overthink things.

yes, whatever your preference in 28mm form is fine and don't over inflate them

you might want a second layer of bar tape on the tops to the hoods to help with comfort
