I think Jeeves, Francis, Bongman's cat (with no name?) and Tasha, my cat look like they are all related. Tasha has a broad white band on her chest, and one white sock longer than the other three of her socks.

Wave goodbye to all the birds in your garden. Cats are the work of the devil:evil:

Or, fit your cat with a bell...

He looks very smart Cubist, Jeeves is a very suitable name.

I'm slightly allergic to cats too (I get runny nose and red eyes if I touch my face after stroking one), but I like them, so I don't let it bother me, and might have one, one day.

Ahh

that is a real regal creature - he looks amazing!

I hope he does get to stay with you if you don't find his owner but sounds like you're his human now!

Not meaning to hijack your thread but my 10 month old kitten got ran over on Tuesday night in a pretty gruesome way and died, so it's lovely to see this thread as it makes me smile.

If I didn't have my cat Billa I would have taken him in too.

Billa decided she had enough of being a stray, so forced herself into our house. She wasn't very nice at first however mellowed over the years. 8 years on and she's still going strong.

Arch you should get a pygmy hedgehog to go in one of your teacups. :hugs:

I don't have any teacups, I only have mugs.... :hugs:

Bearing in mind that all the animals I want have to be useful in some way (see sigline), I suppose a pygmy hedgehog would make a handy pan scourer....

Sorry to hear about your kitten tt.

Well, it appears Jeeves, or Fluffbutt as his real name is, is indeed microchipped, and lives four miles away. He was a client at the vets we took him to in order to have him scanned. They have rung his owners, and we are waiting to see whether they get in touch once they've collected him from the vets. . I'd love to know the story of how he managed to get himself four miles and a climb of about 700 feet to find us!

Kids are disappointed (and to be honest I am a bit!). The question "Can we have a cat?" is not likely to encounter voluntary approval from Mrs C!

At least we can relax, knowing we looked after him when he needed us, and have got him back to a family which must have been missing him!

Jeez, no wonder he left home, where's the dignity in that?

He looked like a fine chap, and very sensible to find the kind of people who would help him to find his way home ;)

He'll probably come back ;)

Sorry to hear about your kitten ttcycle

Thanks guys

Oh that's a real shame about 'fluffbutt' - yeah that's not as good as Jeeves - I think you guys understood him more!!

Sorry to hear about your kitten, ttcycle.

It happened to the real Wafflycat several years ago, but thankfully she survived, minus an eye, plus metal in leg and many fractures healed. The sickening in the pit of the stomach when you find out your much loved pet is hurt/killed is not something I would wish on anyone.

TS Eliot agreed:

But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
