So many sites to pick from. So many different results to order from. What shall I go for come 6am?

Wind from the West or South West? Or even on one site from the South East ? 15mph winds no gusts or 11mph gusting to 42mph ? Maybe WSW at a modest 7mph ?
4 degs C, 6 degs C or 7 degs C ?
12% cloud or a clear sky ?
They all agree on no rain though. Except one, which gives a 27% chance of showers.

I'll spin a coin.

So many sites to pick from. .

I find that sight through my bedroom window always provides the best forecast of the weather.

At least it's accurate.

But only locally where local is within a mile or so of the point of observation.

On my commute to Bradford during winter I can set off for work in bright sunshine and encounter, rain, fog, sleet snow and bright sunshine again. There are microclimate demarcation lines at the Aire Valley in Kirstall, Dawsons Corner in Pudsey, Dudley Hill, Odsal Top and Beacon Road - the last three being in Bradford. When I commuted by motor cycle I reckon that I could geolocate by the temperature of my kneecaps.

Even with the BBC the online forecast can differ from the TV forecast, and the Welsh regional forecast can be different from the what the national one has said Wales is going to be:wacko:

I use an app on my tablet, which basically puts the Met Office data in to a more user friendly format. It has everything I want including mountain forecasts. I used to use Metcheck, but they seemed to go off the rails for a while, not sure what they are like for accuracy now but always found the way they presented their data very good.

Weather.co.uk used to be unerringly accurate. I used to astound my fellow freeflight aeromodellers by predicting changes of wind direction to within half an hour something that necessitated the change of location of the flight line to prevent the models from leaving the boundaries of the RAF airfields that were used for the events.

It's metamorphosis into a Web 2.0 format has reduced its user friendliness and usefulness but does not account for its decreased accuracy.

http://www.wunderground.com/ is worth a look. I found it to be accurate though I have not used it recently.
