It was really nice in Gravesend yesterday. Got a tan line to prove it. But the moment I hung my kit on the line to dry this morning, it started to rain!

The forecasts around here are usually quite accurate. They say it's going to be cold, windy, and constant rain; and they are normally quite right. However it doesn't take a genius to work out that that is what is going to happen in the west of Scotland .

Just about the same in Carlisle,dependable isnt it?Would have gone out on the bike but,given the forecast,braved Carlisle for some essential shopping(which I otherwise would have put off until Monday)and found myself boiling,both with the heat and annoyance.So I had a pint.

Forecast last night for today - patchy showers after overnight rain - feeling warm/humid.

Actual - continuous drizzle all day (easing a bit now) and cold. Out there it is 13C on the stick-on-the-window-computer-weather-station-xmas-present thing. In here it is down to 17C and the heating has just been put on.

Presume they are not on performance related pay?

Wow, I thought it was only me that noticed what a load of rubbish they present!,.I watch the forecast on friday morning for the weekend, make notes on what they say, then see what weather we really get, And yes it is always wrong, I think they are only able to predict the weather two hours in advance, so what point is there in spouting off what will happen 2 or 3 days in the future. Can you imagine the salary paid to all the weather presenters on the B B C alone, (licence payers money) for what...??????
