Go onto Met Office weather instead. Just as random but with more detail ☔️

I consult multiple different sources and then decide myself which one(s) I'm going to assume are closest to reality.... and at the moment I'm counting on one app being accurate for later in the day!!

I never look at forecasts and just take the weather as it comes. It's worked okay so far.

After 8 years of watching the forecast and then going to work on the bike you finally get when you know they will be wrong

Low pressure is so in predicable for them !

Someone did an experiment a few years ago. It ran along the lines of predicting the weather by saying tomorrow's weather will be exactly the same as today's'.
This was found to be 60% accurate.
This was a greater degree of accuracy than the Met Office were claiming for their forecasts.

The Beeb have gotten worse over the last 3-4 years imo - no idea why.

We were forecast up to 10cm snow today and have had precisely zero flakes.

Living near to the mountains of Cumbria I tend to use the Mountain Weather Information Service* forecast which is much more accurate.

*Also available for the lumpier bits of Scotland and Wales.

BBC are giving it at -9 here tomorrow yet XC have it at only -2. I suppose I'll just need to wait and see if I'm taking the car or bike to work.
