Well,

Despite my forced 'absence' from commuting, I've been enjoying the weather - a little chilly, but once the sun has got out it's great. I've been allowed to get back on the bike, and so far have done one night pootle, on the MTB, and found out that a Hope 1 on setting 2 is enough for a dark lane (just), and then did a 10 mile out and back ride on one of the road bikes (don't tell the missus) - sunny, dry, bright, but windy. The 25-30mph return leg was nice though.

Oh and the Hope 1 issue. Went out with lights that hadn't been charged recently from commuting runs.....ahem

Mainly lit roads, so had one on Level 2, one on Flashing. Got to the pitch black section, whacked both on 4...... one went off very quick, so switched that onto flash, then dropped the other to Level 2 as I knew both had last been charged the same day. TBH Level 2 was OK in the pitch black. I was going up a 1 in 6 though on a MTB..... Just about got home..........

So who has been enjoying this change? Just before my operation (18 days ago), the weather was pants. I even forced myself out for a 40 miler in drizzle on my day off just before my op.

Loving the bright sun ! (Cloudy till after lunch here though today)

Been on late shift this week so have had a few nice rides in the sunshine, been cold coming home though at 10pm.
Last of 5 days commute tonight, Hopes on level 2 all week, got to the last couple of miles and whacked them both up to 4, certainly didn't get any 'pull outs'
