How much does it cost to Oldham?
I've always used sigma computers but tthey've never been very weatherproof, stop working altogether in the rain and, later models i've found, the buttons get cacked up and stop working. are there any reccomendations for a (not ridiculously expensive- i've seen too many bounce down the road) weatherproof cycle computer?

I've always used Cateye - Micros and Stradas - in all weathers, without issue...

mine are obviously made of a better type of cheese than yours then.. ;)

I've had a couple of Micros in constant use for the last three or so years in all weathers, with the only issues being battery changes...

A bit of vaseline around the battery cover to prevent water ingress, or on the contacts (if its wired) wouldn't go amiss...

You could...remove the computer and liberate yourself to enjoy the ride. I did.

My commute computers of choice are Ciclo Sport. Either wired or wireless.
Have used in the foulest of weathers with no problems what so ever.

And as someone else mentioned. Garmin if you want to go down the gps route.
Once again, never had a problem with my Garmins and water ingress.

Get a Garmin watch and a cadence sensor. You don't have to worry about removing it and there waterproof.

+1 for what blackandyellow says. I use the best non-wireless Cateye model. All it needs is the contacts cleaning sometimes with sandpaper. It has stood up to very heavy rain with no problems so far.
you dan't want a GPS-based computer unless you like waiting for it to oritent itself..

I have a cat eye double wireless that has been on the commuter in all weathers for three years. It's currently surplus mate. Do you want it ? Only changed it as got the baby Garmin for commuting.
