Daffs are starting to bloom and the winds have dropped, the weatherman says settled warm weathers on the way. Just dreaming of balmy days in shorts and t-shirts and heading to the pub for a thirst quencher not a real ale warmer.
I'm in work all weekend and look forward to reading your posts, but tomorrow I have a big ride planned.
Up in the hills around Ruthin and Denbigh, then down to the coast by Rhyl and home via Chester. Smidge under a 100miles will be the best ride so far this year.
Enjoy it while its lasts, Sean

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
The news in wales says things are going to get better from the weekend.

We've still got a wet and windy weekend to get through before it starts to improve. Next week looks better, hopefully.

FYI, if you're planning a stop at the EUREKA CAFE it was closed today, (EDIT - just checked and they don't open Thursdays anyway, d'oh!).

Also, the road there, (Parkgate Road A540), is closed at the moment for resurfacing, (I'm working on there myself), although TBH you can still get through by bike.

Quite a few cyclists turned up today expectantly before glumly turning around and peddling away, guess they should have checked the website eh?

Maybe accurate signage might have helped them....

In what regard? There was no issue with cyclists actually coming to the cafe itself, after all local business needs to continue, (if it opens that is).
I understood from your post that cyclists thought the road, not the café, was shut.
