sunrise is lazy here

ride, say hola to the mad cactus, cafe, bask, laze

for those who have had a deprived existence, i shall, once again, relate the sad history, with a happy ending, of the mad cactus, as recounted to me by the tabby during a convivial natter

timelessness ago, the cactus became trapped on a closed spacelike curve, unable to escape, aware but unaging, he tumbled through uncountable universes, experiencing their births and deaths, eventually losing his reason as it fragmented across the eternities of the void

the tabby, discovering his plight, took pity, being outside all universes, though they derive existence through entanglement* with her consciousness, she chose to place him on a timelike path intersecting our universe, which happens to be at the eastern approach to yaiza, just after the roundabout

today he stands there, surrounded by his adopted family, tended by the ayuntamiento, existing simply, aware only that he is, at last, happy in the warm sun, and always cheered by the greetings of passersby

always be good to the cactus

*this entanglement is the source of what are known as dark energy and dark matter, they evanesce from all other universes into ours, they are, but they are not, no human instrumentality can explain them, only the tabby

Can I have a bit of whatever you're smoking SG? ☺️

Morning All, up early, into town, spot of work, off to lunch and afternoon meeting with advisors. Then back early to collect hounds from the dog sitters as the ladies of the house are swanning off to Hampton Court flower show or something for the day.

Yeah but, I explained this to Beans and he was none the wiser. Not all Feline's are blessed with the understanding of space and time and are merely the flotsam and jetsam of the universe to which empathetic mortals like myself provide sanctuary.

Meanwhile... Arsene Wenger, it's been raining. Again. Still looking misty as I (slowly) prep myself for another day of (slowly) working in The Gardens. Basking Wednesday... 🤔

Morning

Yesterday was a 100 mile round trip in the Porker to a café far far away which I thought had shut down - it was merely closed for the quiet months. 'Loon knows this café. I dragged him there kicking and screaming.
I had Frangipane and Mrs P had coffee and Tia Maria cake. The Frangipane was a 4/5 and the coffee cake (which I sampled after wrestling Mrs P to the ground) was a 5/5.
On the way was a line of Jaaaaaaaaguars. XK's and F's. Not proper Jaguars. With their roofs down doing 40-50 along the road in convoy. I overtook with plenty of revs and smoke.

I have 4 cacti on the windowsill. One of them has sent out a shoot which flowered. The 'shoot' is well over 2 feet long and this cactus is diminutive. Pen for scale.

Bought the lie that anywhere south of Berwick would be a sun scorched hinterland this week and ended up running through a deluge in my shorts this morning.
Next: instant coffee.

Eurgh, spent a lot of the night sitting on the porcelain, and still feeling 'internally delicate'. Things can only get better (and more solid).

Coffee, obvs.
