Morning
A bit grey here but dry just getting ready to go out on the midweek meander. So it will be coffee and cake later.

Our company year end was yesterday so its all systems go torturing numbers until they tell me what I want to hear. Well the minions are doing most of the torturing and I'm reviewing their efforts 🙂

WFH again so caught up on sleep despite waking up when the security light was triggered and seeing a couple of foxes wandering round the garden - at least it gave the hounds a good scent trail to follow when we let them out for their morning dump.

Good hotel pig based breakfast and onwards to a day of meetings. Early dart chances are zero as a workshop starts at 15:30, meaning I will miss out on Wednesdays pub replacement house visits with friends.

No exercise today with the exception of walking the puppy later.
Fed up with the weather now as I want to go fishing but I'm not going anywhere just to get wet.

Bonspiel? Bring your waders and attach a chain to those stones.

A sympathetic morning forecast tempted me out on 2 wheels. My forks bent like hazel twigs towards my favourite café as I passed, so I'm risking getting a soaking.

Food retail later.

Had a decent ride, a pal was riding out to Berwick to get the train, 2 of us accompanied him out to Norham than did a loop back to St Boswells. We wouldn't have ridden out that way first if it wasn't for him as we flew out east with a tailwind then had a character building ride back against it! Good leg workout though 😬

But you're a triathlete?!
Depends which part of mine you're quoting I suppose.

No exercise - Rest days are now as important as training days.

The wet bit, well, I kind of agree but will add "cold and wet"... Hang on, open water swimmi... oh bugger it yes.

Decent ride of 65.5 miles with a few miles before and after the club ride. Cafe stop was a weird one as it was a pop up one in our local bike shop in support of local charity. All cakes and sausage rolls were baked by Granville who is club member. Prior to retiring he ran the chip shop in the next town, a man of many talents clearly.
