Question for the day - has anybody sold a car privately recently and what did they think is best place to advertise?

Depends on the value and popularity of the car, I reckon.

The first place is go to if I was looking for a decent car would be autorader. However, I know that there's a lot of cars at the bottom of the price ladder sold on Gumtree and eBay. A private buyer of some car accessories I was moving on told me that he preferred Facebook marketplace as it showed him more of the vendor's identity.

No grey/green. They're a few years old now and because I am too I'm getting a few niggling issues with my feet so I thought the softer wrap would be better than my Sidis.
Oh no. Very comfy at first and then they set like a pair of bench vices.

Funny, I got shot of my Sidi Genius because they were too rigid, unforgiving and I developed a hot spot in rides over 30 miles. and bought some Fiziks. They're ace. No issues.

My OH sold her old Polo on Motorway a year or so ago as we didn't want random tyre kickers coming round. Got a reasonable price given it's dealers bidding (better than Webuyanyheapofjunk at least).

If you're going down that route, the Arnold Clark scheme used to have a decent reputation up here.

Did you get a price from Western when you were in yesterday? (Although they are completely incompetent shysters with an eyes only for the bottom line).

Are you replacing it with anything tastier than a buspass?

No i didn't think there was much point in that! We are selling because we don't really use it enough and the OH doesn't find the seats comfortable on a longer run. It's a 2015 and has only done 12000 miles.
Might look at a wee runabout possibly a nippy EV, but we don't really need a 2nd car!

Can't beat a bit of forced fun in the name of team building.....oh hang on, a kick in the chucks is more fun. Got to be done though.

Showers and sunshine over here. Might get a run in during the latter (got some new shoes to break in) and DD2 is threatening to whip up a crumble at some stage.

I declined to attend an office team building thing once, and was asked why. (a) I was not technically part of that office team anyway, it was just the only bit of office with a spare desk for me; and (b) I said I didn’t think a day at paintball games was especially appropriate. Dividing the office into a number of small groups and tasking each with the goal of “killing” as many of the others as possible was hardly building a team overall.

It was not received well.

I once organised a team building for my community mental health team. We going up to the North York Moors, walks for all levels of fitness and a bit of rock climbing/ absailing for those up for it.
A day before the event we told it was an inappropriate use of time and an alternative walk in the local park was offered.
I just went and visited patients instead, those of course who weren’t dealing in said park.
