Morning

Busy few days has left me cooked so I intend to do very little but other people might have different plans for me.

Extra coffee

Morning Folks,

Off down to the local medical centre later on this morning for an MRI. May have a snooze while I'm in there as apparently it's going to take at least an hour. Got some work to do in between.

Having a bit of a meh week.

Mrs Wakemalcolm's got the lurgy, DD2 has a DofE expedition coming up that nobody's really got any enthusiasm for, and the organisation (& location) of which has been an absolute shambles.

The weather's dry but by no means nice. Got a couple of jobs done around the house.

Managed to book a holiday though: both kids have excused themselves for the October break so it seemed rude not to. Not long enough for anywhere exciting, so have gone with a long weekend in Faro. Never done the Algarve before, so looking forward to it.

Coffee and the never ending supply of 18th birthday cake incoming.

Faro is nice. From there you can access so much of the Algarve easily and the roads heading West are quiet and smooth. Please go to the top of Monchique and enjoy both the views and the local cake called Bolo de tacho in the Café at the top. Half way up Monchique is a small town called Caldas de Monchique. It's gorgeous with a cobbled town square and Cafe's galore plus a market full of fish, fruit and veg.
